The series introduced the world to stars Tom Welling (who played Clark Kent), Kristin Kreuk (who played Lana Lang), Michael Rosenbaum (who played Lex Luthor), and Allison Mack (who played Chloe Sullivan).
And it also served as early exposure for guest stars Amy Adams, Ian Somerhalder, Lizzy Caplan, Cory Monteith, Cobie Smulders, and Tyler Posey.
I checked the caller ID and saw the name of a friend who never calls me. We all sang "Hey Jude" in honor of her and our voices rang out in a twenty block radius. Accepting, respecting, and learning from her choice is the best way forward from this point. I cannot pretend it is something I understand and even as I write this article I am battling with so many questions around life and death, choice and victimization. Thanks for the lesson my sweet friend, wherever you are.
Superficial arguments mean nothing when you are faced with tragedy. And as I looked around the room at her wake, looking at her life and the people who loved her most, I saw such beauty and felt intense gratitude.
Throughout the day I kept jumping in and out of "commentator mode." It felt so much more comfortable to sit in my head and watch myself and others go through the process of mourning, all the while commenting on the status of grief and the way we should be handling the situation versus the way were actually handling it. Don't you just love it when she finds her way back to a nicer place in her head... But when I step back from the pain, I feel from losing her.
how about that for a process, ladies and gentlemen? I see that really I am just trying to cover up the fact that I will miss her. Immediately I look for some sort of a guide or lesson plan, "How to Grieve Most Appropriately," or "What Getting Over a Friend's Death is Meant to Look Like." But, there is no book -- no standard process. As with all things in life, there is no consistent or reliable way to overcome grief.
Continuing her relationship with The CW, she's been starring on her own TV show Beauty and the Beast since 2012. Kreuk has been very active since Smallville's end.
“There was a lot of growing up I needed to do on that show. D., Heroes Reborn, Gotham, Jessica Jones, and Daredevil currently dominating the landscape.“It's a compliment,” Welling said, thinking about the extensive superhero offerings on TV now.
Taking a break from television, she pursued theater roles while mulling over a possible return to Hollywood.
Welling, however, is the only actor to have appeared in every single episode of the show — a Herculean task given the grueling production that often included groundbreaking and, therefore, labor-intensive visual effects.
But Welling’s job was made infinitely harder by the fact that it was also his first of that magnitude.
